Christ Child Society of Boca Raton is part of a national organization that was founded in 1887 and we are one of 45 chapters nationwide. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 group of volunteers dedicated to having a positive and immediate impact on the lives of vulnerable children in our community.
The Boca Raton chapter was founded in 1991, when eight members of the Palm Beach Chapter realized that there was an interest and a need for a chapter in southern Palm Beach County. The new chapter was chartered in 1992 and incorporated in 1996.
Since inception the chapter has supported the signature initiative of the Christ Child Society by providing layettes to mothers and infants through the community agencies and hospitals.
As membership has grown we have expanded to add literacy and basic needs programs to help us reach even more children and families in our community.
We partner with area organizations and social service agencies to identify at-risk families in Palm Beach County that would benefit from our support. Our members donate their time and talents to support our service programs:
Our members show our love for children in action according to the charge of our organization’s founder, Mary Virginia Merrick, Servant of God: “Nothing is ever too much to do for a child.”
We have become friends through our work. We welcome others to join us so we can have an even greater impact in the future. The need is there.
